My dog sees ghost possibly?

Okay useually I'm alone at my house except for my dog Sammy. So I was sitting on the couch by my dog and he was sleeping then his ears perked up and he sat up he looked at me I petted him but then he started looking around the room then he looked behind our tv were a old speaker was that had a few things on it. Then something fell of a second or so after my dog looked at it which I thought was strange because nothing on it has been messed with for maybe 5 years. any way a day or so later one of my mothers stIck candles just fell. Maybe it's the cause of the thing that used to haunt me as a kid. It used to call my name at random it sounded like my mother but when my mother denied it I thought she was just saying that to annoy me but she was with me in my room one night seeing if I was asleep I wasn't then we both heard the voice and my mother was like holy s*** which I was shock because I was like 6 at the time and never heard my mom say bad language around me anyway most nights before I was taught to ignore them (and that's why I think people can't see them but kids can/could) I used to see a shadowy person at my door or atleast the outline. I knew it was there eventhough It was a shadow in the darkness of the hallway because it reached into my room once. But both of the things went away as I got older but I think they still maybe lingering in our house even though I was taught to ignore them so I can't see or hear them anymore
